Shipping Information and Policies

Desert Patio offers free ground shipping on most items over $1500. (Free shipping only applies to the lower 48)

Where can Desert patio ship to?

Desert Patio ships to physical addresses in the 50 U.S. States. We can not ship to P.O. Boxes, APO/FPO addresses, U.S. territories outside the 50 States, freight forwarders. WE gladly offer shipping and Custom Broker services to our Canadian clients. Please call to arrange details and to get pricing.

When is the order processed?

Most orders, placed Monday through Friday by 5:00 pm Pacific time the same day they are received. You will receive an email or phone call if questions come up about your order. This can cause delays in processing. You have 48 hours to respond before an order is canceled.

How long will shipping take?

Shipping takes between two to six weeks, depending on the shipping method and the final destination. Expected delivery times are quoted from the time the item leaves our facility until it reaches your destination, not from when the order is placed and are only an estimation and not a guarantee.

Overweight/Oversize Shipping

Due to the size and/or the weight of most of our  products, they must be sent by Common Carrier Freight. These products exceed the standards of a shipping company such as Fed Ex or UPS. A Common Carrier Freight company is equipped to handle shipments that exceed the weight and/or size limitations that companies such as Fed Ex & UPS have. They have multiple choices on delivery vehicles, equipment such as trucks with Lift-gates, Stair crawlers and more. Also, if your shipment requires a delivery team of more than one person you can be assured that a Common Carrier Freight company can meet these needs.

Curbside Freight Shipping (Free)* – Product is delivered to your nearest street side location. This shipping method does not include bringing the item into the garage, carport or into the house. It is the customer’s responsibility to complete the in home portion of the delivery

Our free shipping arrangement is for curbside delivery only. This means that the customer is responsible for getting the furniture from the curb onto his or her patio. If your delivery driver offers to take the items onto your patio, the shipping company may charge you for that service.

After your order is processed at Desert Patio, and the shipment is on its way, the shipping company will contact you to set up a delivery time. You must be present to sign for your items when they arrive. When you do receive your items,  please check the box carefully for any obvious signs of damage. If the item is visibly damaged, refuse the shipment and call Desert Patio at 1-760-770-1000 Also, please write on the delivery receipt the reason for refusal.

If only the box appears to be damaged, please remember that we guarantee the condition of the item, not the box. If you accept delivery please note any damage on the delivery receipt. If you refuse the shipment and there is nothing wrong with the furniture/items, you will be charged the return shipping costs. Any claims for concealed damage (not seen before accepting delivery) must be made with Desert Patio within 48 hours of receipt.

You may choose to pick up your furniture at the shipping company’s terminal. If you do, however, please be aware that once you accept the shipment and take it away from the terminal, any damage found after you take the package is the responsibility of the customer. Please look the furniture over carefully before signing for and accepting the merchandise.

If for any reason you elect to to return the furniture, you must do so within 15 days. It must be returned in the original box with the original packing material and with all the accessories.  Restocking fees may apply.

Return Policy:

INTERNET SALES ONLY-Within 15 days, you may return, for money back or exchange, any new, unopened product.  Unopened  items returned are subject to a minimum 15% restock fee.

Special orders are not returnable

Restocking fees may apply and can increase in instances where there is excessive wear and tear, damaged packaging, missing supplied accessories, or if the item is over the corresponding return period.

We will issue a refund or exchange for items that meet the above conditions. Return shipping costs will only be refunded if the return is a result of an error by Desert Patio, if there is physical damage to the product itself, or if a manufacturing defect is discovered during our regular return policy. Opened items returned after the 15-day period are subject to a minimum 25% restock fee to increase after 30 days. Restocking fees can be increased in instances where there is excessive wear & tear, damaged packaging or if the item is over the corresponding return period.

All returned products must have a Return Merchandise Authorization Number (RMA#). Please apply for an RMA# by calling 760-770-1000. Please have a copy of your receipt in-hand when calling and we will do our best to accommodate you.

Any product returned without an RMA, with missing or damaged original contents, , or false claims of damage will be assessed a minimum 25% restocking fee.
